Signs of Autism – Social Skills

The autistic child seems to have something “short circuiting” in his/her brain that causes a different understanding of the world than the “normal” person.  Some of the signs of autism are as follows in re: social skills. They do not form typical relationships with family members.  They rarely form friendships, and if they do, it is usually just with one person.  They do not do well in groups.  They seem to have difficulty making contact with other people, both eye and physical.  They cannot seem to be able to make their mouth say what they want to say, so instead they tend to just repeat what they hear others saying.  It must be a very frustrating world for them.
