Consider Your Guests
The location of your bathrooms within your home will determine how necessary a bathroom fan is. Bathrooms that are close in proximity to living areas and/or the kitchen require a well-functioning and noisy fan to insure the privacy of yourself and your guests. If you have ever used a restroom at a friend’s house and wished desperately for a bathroom fan, because your friend and his family were conversing directly outside the bathroom door, you understand what I mean. It can make your guests very uncomfortable, if they feel as though everyone in the family room or at the dining table can hear them use the restroom. Consider bathroom fan installation, if only for their sake.
