The Importance of Aquarium Lighting
Recently, my son and I learned a very valuable lesson. My son received a 50 gallon aquarium from his aunt for a birthday gift. No one in the family has ever owned an aquarium before and was unaware of the importance of aquarium lighting. The fish we had in the tank weren’t doing well so we went to a pet shop for help. It turns out we didn’t have enough light for a tank of that size. Once we rectified the lighting deficiency, the fish began looking much better. Owning an aquarium is fun and I’m surprised we’ve never owned one before this.
