Soldering
Soldering is the process where 2 or more metals are joined by melting and flowing filler between them. The filler metal also called solder should be of lower melting point. The most common soldering method is the soft soldering where the filler metal used is below 400°C. The soldering process starts by heating the surfaces to be joined so that the solder melts down, flows to joint of the metals and bonds them closely together. When the metal cools, the joint may not be as strong as the base metal but it has adequate strength, water resistance and electoral conductivity.
