Immigration Policy In The United States
Debates have been going on for quite a while about US immigration policy and our current status in regards to immigrants. As far as I know, the current policies allow for immigration under specific guidelines. In other words, you cannot simply move here and get a job by becoming a citizen of the United States. Rather, you have to be moving here for a purpose, whether that be because of employment or marriage.
There has been a lot of musing over whether or not our government will opt for any changes in the current system. Basically, the debate is whether or not immigration is beneficial for our society, and what the implications are for more or less immigration.
