Refinancing isn’t Always the Option

My husband and I considered getting a VA streamline refinance loan when we looked into lowering our monthly payments. When we went to talk to a lender about it, we found that it would not be worth applying for because in the end, it would cost us more a month than less. This was because of all the closing costs and fees. If we would have chose to get the loan, the loan would have been more than what the house was worth and we would never have been able to sell the house if that’s what we chose to do at any point. Overall, refinancing was just not worth it.
