With a Little Background Anyone Can Raise Pigs

I can still remember the day I stopped at post office of the small town I moved to.  The postmaster gave me directions to the farm I had bought sight unseen and assured me that raising pigs is easy and fun.  This was the first I had heard that I owned animals.  I was worried that I would find a filthy yard filled with scary beasts.  Instead three big, gentle animals trotted toward me.  They were very pink and very friendly.  The handyman who came with the place taught me the basics of how to care for my new pets and by the following spring I had a small family of pigs.  The postmaster was right. They are easy to care for and easier to like.
