The cheap washing machines are using water and chemicals to clean clothing, sheets and towels using mechanical, thermal and electrical energy. Washing machines are designed and built in two main configurations, front loading and top loading. The top loading design places the clothes in a vertically basket. This perforated container is placed in a water retaining tub, with an agitator in the bottom f the container. The tub is filled with water and the agitator moves, pulling the laundry to its paddles, then moves the laundry outward and up. Top loaders washing machines are not recommended to washing large objects or delicate fabrics. Top loader washing machines are popular in U.S., Canada, Australia and some zones of Europe.
