Rochester NY: Up and coming
Rochester NY is a great little town. It has been losing population for the last 20 years as large industries have left the metropolitan area. However, Rochester has great arts and museums. It has an amazing amount of culture for such of the medium-size city. And the city is on the rise.The mayor has said he wants to make Rochester NY the best midsize city in the country. He has prioritized several key initiatives that the citizens feel strongly about. The first is crime. There were serious crime problems in Rochester NY in the late 90s and early 2000s. But the mayor has gotten is under control and has reversed all the major crime trends over the last couple years. The city is also making a large investment in education and other services important to community life. If you’ve not seen or spent time in Rochester, NY, I recommend.
